Graciela Santiler Nowik
Owner, Leader, Entrepreneur, Trainer, and
Master Cosmetologist
Graciela combined her degree in business from U of I with training and passion for cosmetology to bring the latest in services and product selection to Hair Base.

Her involvement in local, state, and national associations earned her the “Pillar of Accomplishment” award from the Professional Beauty Association in recognition of outstanding service and contributions to the industry.

Graciela believes in giving back to the community and the salon has been donating services to Misericordia Heart of Mercy providing beauty treatments for local community members with special needs.

Barbara
Master Stylist & Salon Educator

Barbara has been a veteran of the beauty industry as an educator, stylist, and colorist for over 30 years. She shares her wealth of knowledge in her role of salon educator with the salon team.

A licensed cosmetologist and master certified hair colorist, she believes the beauty industry is a perfect blend of art and science and enjoys exploring and learning techniques to enhance her services. She is an expert in styling wigs, toppers, and extensions.

Barb provides detailed consultations along with an honest opinion as she strongly believes understanding a client’s needs and providing feedback is key to great service. She feels this open communication has led to long-lasting client relationships and has been instrumental in her success. She says Hair Base is a special place to work and visit.

Barb was a recipient of several cosmetology scholarship grants including a master class on cut & color in New York under Nick Arrojo!

Robin
Professional Stylist

Robin is an accomplished stylist, colorist, and skin care professional, honing her craft over 30 years. She believes patience, friendliness, and kindness are key to providing a quality experience.

Robin enjoys learning and appreciates opportunities to sharpen her skills. Her extensive training includes:

Teresa
Professional Stylist

Teresa has been a professional licensed cosmetologist specializing in hair styling including extensions and eyes (lashes, brows, extensions, coloring) for over 20 years.

She is always eager to continue expanding her knowledge of all aspects of cosmetology and regularly takes classes to sharpen her techniques and skills to keep current with new trends.

Although her passion started with color and cuts, after taking a course on eyelashes and extensions her passion was quickly extended to all things eyes and featured in the Chicago Tribune!

She says her greatest joy while practicing her profession comes from helping people look their best and the relationships she builds with clients. Teresa’s training includes:

Zeena
Professional Stylist

Zeena began her career as a professional hair stylist over 16 years ago. She is happiest gently guiding clients towards beauty treatments to enhance their best features. She loves cutting, coloring, styling as well as specializing in waxing, threading, and general hair removal. She enjoys working with clients to create their own personalized look!

Erika
Emerging Stylist

Erika began her career as a nail technician. After learning and mastering the art of nails application, she continued her education becoming a licensed cosmetologist. 

Erika is fascinated with how her work can completely change not just how people look but also how they feel about themselves.

Kimberly
Upcoming Stylist

Kimberly, joined us as a team assistant while completing her cosmetology program. Now with the program completed and earning her license she is an up-and-coming stylist dedicated to satisfying clients.

Her devotion and passion for the beauty industry is based on her understanding the importance and impact of maintaining one’ s appearance to increase and build one’s self-confidence.
